Supercomputing: The Basic Concept

What is Supercomputing?

  • Supercomputers are high-performance computing systems designed to process extremely complex calculations.
  • They use large numbers of processors or computing nodes to perform calculations simultaneously.
  • Parallel processing allows multiple processors to work on different parts of a problem.
  • They are particularly useful for simulations, large datasets and computationally intensive research.
